Brachioradialis
Musculus brachioradialis
The brachioradialis is the prominent forearm muscle that bulges on the thumb side during elbow flexion, working strongest when the forearm is in a neutral (hammer-grip) position. It is the only flexor of the elbow supplied by the radial nerve. In training it is heavily recruited by hammer curls, reverse curls, and any neutral- or pronated-grip pulling, making it key for forearm thickness and grip-adjacent strength.
