The chin-up is a pull-up performed with a supinated (underhand), roughly shoulder-width grip. The underhand position places the biceps brachii in a stronger line of pull, so it recruits the biceps more heavily than the standard pull-up while still loading the lats. Keep the chest up and pull the bar toward the upper chest rather than just lifting the body.
