The cable curl keeps constant tension on the biceps throughout the entire range because the resistance does not drop off at the bottom like free weights. Set the pulley low, attach a straight or EZ bar, keep the elbows tucked, and curl by bending only at the elbow. The steady tension makes it excellent for the squeeze at the top.
