Seated at a low cable station with feet braced, you pull a handle into the midsection while keeping the torso upright, providing constant tension on the back through the whole rep. It is a joint-friendly staple for building lat and mid-back thickness. Sit tall, pull the handle to the navel by driving the elbows back and squeezing the shoulder blades, and avoid rocking back to cheat the weight.
