Hanging Leg Raise

The hanging leg raise is a demanding bodyweight ab exercise performed hanging from a bar, raising the legs to challenge the lower rectus abdominis and hip flexors while the abs stabilize the trunk. The dead-hang position adds grip and lat involvement and removes any floor support. Initiate with a posterior pelvic tilt, lift the legs without swinging, and lower slowly to keep the abs working rather than momentum.
