Lat Pulldown

The lat pulldown is the cable-machine analogue of the pull-up, performed seated with a wide pronated grip and pulling a bar down to the upper chest. It lets you scale the load freely, making it ideal for building lat width and for trainees who cannot yet do bodyweight pull-ups. Depress the shoulder blades first, pull the bar to the collarbone, and avoid leaning back excessively.
