The triceps extension is the umbrella isolation movement that loads elbow extension to target the triceps brachii across all three heads. Movement comes solely from the elbow while the upper arm stays fixed; keep the shoulder stable to keep tension on the triceps rather than shifting load to the shoulders. Variations differ mainly by equipment and arm position (overhead positions bias the long head, pushdowns bias the lateral head).
