The skull crusher is a lying triceps extension performed with an EZ-bar, barbell, or dumbbells, hitting all three heads of the triceps with extra emphasis on the long head from the increased shoulder flexion. Lie on a bench and keep the elbows fixed and pointing toward the ceiling, lowering the weight to just above the forehead or slightly behind the head. Move only at the elbow and keep the upper arms stationary to protect the elbows and keep tension on the triceps.
