The single-arm straight-arm pulldown isolates one latissimus dorsi at a time using a single cable handle, allowing a greater range of motion and correcting side-to-side imbalances. The unilateral load also challenges the core and obliques to resist rotation. Keep the working arm nearly straight, drive the handle down to the hip, and pause to feel the lat contract before returning under control.
