The dip is a fundamental bodyweight pressing movement on parallel bars; an upright torso with tucked elbows emphasizes the triceps while a forward lean shifts load to the chest. Lower under control until the upper arms reach about parallel, then press back to lockout. It builds substantial pressing strength and can be progressively weighted with a dip belt.
