Common Extensor Tendon
Tendo communis musculorum extensorum

The common extensor tendon is the shared origin of the superficial wrist and finger extensors at the lateral epicondyle of the humerus. The extensor carpi radialis brevis component is the most common site of lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), the classic overuse injury of gripping and racket sports. It transmits wrist- and finger-extension forces to the upper arm.
