Push Press
Barbell Push Press
BarbellPlate Free weightsFunctional

The push press uses a short dip and drive from the legs to launch a barbell from the front rack to overhead lockout, letting you press more weight than a strict overhead press. It trains explosive leg-to-arm power transfer along with the shoulders and triceps. Dip straight down a few inches, drive hard through the legs, then press the bar to lockout as the hips extend, finishing with the bar over the midfoot.
