Iliopsoas Tendon
Tendo musculi iliopsoas

The iliopsoas tendon is the common distal tendon by which the psoas major and iliacus insert on the lesser trochanter, the anatomical convergence that defines the iliopsoas. It transmits the body’s strongest hip-flexion force during sprinting, climbing, and knee drive. Snapping or catching of this tendon over the iliopectineal eminence is a common cause of internal snapping-hip syndrome.
