The single-leg seated calf raise trains one bent-knee leg at a time, isolating the soleus and exposing side-to-side strength imbalances. Working unilaterally lets you concentrate the load and achieve a deeper, more deliberate range than the bilateral version. Keep the thigh pad snug, press to a full top contraction, and lower slowly into a complete stretch before switching legs.
