Performed on a bench inclined roughly 30-45 degrees, this variation biases load onto the clavicular (upper) fibers of the pectoralis major and increases anterior deltoid involvement. Keep the shoulder blades retracted and lower the bar to the upper chest just below the collarbone. It is the go-to movement for building upper-chest thickness.
