The hang squat clean catches the bar in a full front squat after an explosive pull from the hang, demanding more mobility and bottom-position strength than the power version. Receiving deep lets a lifter get under heavier loads and trains the front-rack squat directly. Drive from the hang, pull the elbows around fast, and ride the bar down into a deep squat before standing to full extension.
