The cable crunch is a loaded crunch performed kneeling beneath a high pulley with a rope, letting you progressively overload the rectus abdominis with weight. Because the cable provides constant tension, the abs are challenged through the whole range rather than just at the top. Keep the hips fixed and bend at the spine, crunching the elbows toward the thighs and resisting the stretch on the way back up.
