Huxley Kicks Ass in His Math Reassessment

Hux has been doing great at school. He is very diligent and goes heads down and gets his work done and is excelling. Anyone that has worked with him and taught him have spoken highly of his diligence, curiosity and thoughtfulness. All his teachers, Kirsten, Grandma Jo. He had gone through a period where he missed several days of school, and missed some classes on a fairly difficult section that brought together a lot of things that he had largely taught himself with homeschooling: Systems of Equations. He struggled with the material for his first test, and didn’t score very well. Fortunately his class let’s him do a reassessment, where he can show that he’s gone around and learned the material better and then take a new test. He put in a lot of effort with me, learning and practicing. His hard work paid off!

He also impresses me with his emotional awareness. He is certainly a grouchy, reticent teen at times (as we all are), but he also does a really good job of keeping people in mind when it counts and expressing appreciation. I tell him and do tell him in person, but to future Hux I also wanted to say that it has meant a huge amount to me hear that you appreciate me doing my best to be a good dad.
