Farmer’s Market
We went to the Des Moines Farmer’s Market today. I went last week and was impressed. It was the first the 2nd time i had ever gone. The first time being over 15 years ago, when we used to live in Ankeny.
It is extremely larger now. In total I think there were probably 15 blocks or more of street closed down. It was very densely packed, and a good variety of shops. A lot of ethnic food and organic produce, as well as the earthy products.
The kids enjoyed it, although to be fair I use the reward of food as a way to make it more motivating :) They all got some particular snack they wanted.
The weather was fantastic. Afterwards we decided to eat somewhere outside - which we failed to find quick access too, but had some good pizza before a trip to the Art Center. Memorial Weekend Visit to Des Moines Art Center
