Today was another fairly lazy day. Lou’s fever continued, but it improved over the day before. It was only around 100.5 instead of the 102.5 as of yesterday.

We did get most of the checklists done, and the kids played independently or with dad. Always crafting

Huxley treated the family to lunch again today. It was a simple meal today, but he gets a kick out of cooking. He has also been very helpful while Lou has been sick. Making lunch for the family again. Chicken strips and boiled broccoli.

Erasmus was invited to go to the Hot Springs and an overnight with Zach Shirley. He is always a sweetheart and makes sure that Dad didn’t want to hang out first :) Here Erasmus is drawing a deer (that soon morphed into a dragon). Drawing a deer on top of a stick skeleton. It did turn into a dragon.

Dad and Huxley bonded over probably too much Fortnite. It was fun though. Hux gave some pointers. We tried some fort building tactics…with only mixed success. Playing his current favorite game: Forza

Huxley, Birdie, Lou and I had fun looking at family photos for a long while tonight. They get a huge kick out of it. Huxley sweetly asked if looking at photos is an ‘emotional’ thing. Clearly he felt that way and looked to Dad for some validation. Getting a kick out of old videos. Watching older family videos.

Lou continues to be very miserable right at bedtime because of congestion. But it gives Dad an opportunity to rock her to sleep.
