Quadriceps Tendon
Tendo musculi quadricipitis femoris

The thick common tendon formed by the convergence of all four quadriceps heads, attaching to the base of the patella. It transmits the entire knee-extension force of the quadriceps into the extensor mechanism and is a load-bearing structure in heavy squatting; quadriceps tendon rupture is a recognized injury in older or heavily loaded lifters.
