Flexor Digitorum Superficialis Tendons
Tendines musculi flexoris digitorum superficialis

The flexor digitorum superficialis tendons run through the carpal tunnel and split (Camper’s chiasm) at each finger to insert on the middle phalanges, flexing the PIP joints. They carry much of the load in heavy gripping and hanging. Each tendon divides to let the deeper profundus tendon pass through toward the fingertip.
