Aponeurosis of the External Oblique
Aponeurosis musculi obliqui externi abdominis

The aponeurosis of the external oblique is the broad, flat tendon sheet through which the external oblique inserts onto the linea alba and pelvis. Its thickened, folded lower border forms the inguinal ligament, a key landmark of the groin. It contributes the most superficial layer of the anterior rectus sheath and helps transmit oblique force across the front of the abdomen.
