The single-leg donkey calf raise works one leg at a time in the hip-flexed, bent-over position to load the gastrocnemius through a deep stretch while correcting left-right imbalances. The unilateral setup lets bodyweight or a partner’s load fall fully on the working calf. Keep the working knee straight, balance with light hand support, and emphasize a full bottom stretch and top squeeze.
