Bodyweight Calisthenics

The side plank is a lateral isometric hold on one forearm and the side of the feet, training the obliques and quadratus lumborum to resist sideways collapse. It builds anti-lateral-flexion stability that protects the spine and strengthens the lateral hip. Stack the shoulder over the elbow, drive the hips high to a straight line, and keep the body in one plane without rolling forward or back.
