The Pallof press is an anti-rotation exercise where a cable or band pulls from the side and the lifter presses the handle straight out, forcing the obliques and deep core to resist twisting. It builds rotational stability that protects the spine and transfers to athletic movement. Stand side-on to the anchor, brace the trunk, press the handle to full extension without letting the torso rotate, and return with control.
