The overhead squat holds the barbell locked out overhead in a wide snatch grip while squatting to depth, demanding exceptional shoulder, thoracic, and ankle mobility plus full-body stability. It heavily challenges the quads, glutes, and trunk to stay braced under the overhead load. Keep the bar stacked over the mid-foot, drive the arms tall, and maintain an upright torso throughout.
