The goblet squat holds a single dumbbell or kettlebell against the chest, and the front-loaded position keeps the torso upright and biases the quadriceps. It is an excellent beginner squat for grooving good mechanics and a strong, braced core. Keep the elbows tucked, track the knees over the toes, and sit down between the hips to depth.
