The glute bridge is a floor-based hip extension performed with the shoulders on the ground, training the glutes through a shorter range than the hip thrust. It can be done with bodyweight or loaded with a barbell across the hips. Drive through the heels, lift the hips until the body forms a straight line from knees to shoulders, and squeeze the glutes at the top.
