The front squat racks the bar across the front delts in a front-rack position, forcing a very upright torso that loads the quadriceps and upper back heavily while sparing the lower back. It is a staple for Olympic lifters and for building quad strength. Drive the elbows up, keep the chest tall, and reach full depth without letting the torso fold forward.
