The dumbbell lunge loads the standard lunge with a dumbbell in each hand, adding resistance while the offset load also challenges grip and trunk stability. Lower into the split position until both knees approach 90 degrees, keeping the dumbbells hanging at the sides and the torso tall. Drive through the front heel to stand, scaling load easily by changing dumbbell weight.
